Was wondering... When a guy and a girl get married, the girl changes her last name to the guy's, right?

...What happens if the guy doesn't have a last name? Does that mean they can't get fully married?

It depends on the people, really. The taking of the man's last name is just a very, very old tradition, but it's not as common anymore.

So I think if a person didn't have a last name, it wouldn't really have any baring on the people getting married.

I didn't remember it used to be that way. Guess it's cuz nobody had last names then. When did that idea start?

The only person I'd wanna get married to is Silvia, but unless she comes here I'm gonna have to wait another 12000 years for our next lives. But she needs to stay where she is and take care of the kids. I don't want her to show up if it means leaving them on their own again.

Well... if that's how you feel, I can understand. I'd like to think nothing is really written in stone, and that something can always come along and surprise you.

We fell in love in our past lives 12000 years ago, and when we met again this time around we ended up falling in love again. I love her. There's no way I can love anyone else as much as her, no matter how many lives we have. That's why I promised her, when I said goodbye, that we'd meet again in another 12000 years. I'm not gonna cheat on her here, even if she'd never know about it.

Guess I wouldn't know anything about that. I've got until I'm about 90, if I'm lucky. If I'm really lucky I'll get 114 like my Papa Olaf.

Huh. I never thought about how old I'd end up being. Don't even know how old I am now. I'm about Silvia's size, and she's...15 now? But I'm shorter, so maybe that makes me 14? I dunno. Doesn't really matter.

I don't think most people remember their past lives when they reincarnate. Silvia did, but I didn't start to until we met. Dunno how it all works. It's confusing.

I believe in a lot of supernatural things... well, supernatural for my world, but I'm pretty damn sure I haven't had any previous lives.

Dunno how most people tell if they do. Or maybe people in your world don't reincarnate, like how no one else's world had the Shadow Angels attack.

We really don't know if people actually reincarnate in my world. Some people believe you do, some people believe you don't, some people believe it depends on what you do that determines if you do or don't.

Thinking about this reincarnation stuff's too complicated for me. I like it when things're simpler. Go out, defeat the enemy, come back and eat. Why can't everything be that easy?
